Another banner weekend for Cedar boys. Congratulations to Marion Crain and CEDAR RED RUSH'N. Rush HIT at the herding trial Sunday April 4th. His house sister, Rev took HIT on Saturday. Both dogs are in the advanced level. In Colorado, Jennifer Martin and CEDAR CATCH AN EDGE, "Bode", qualified in all of his runs, with 1st place finishes in Starters Standard, Gamblers, Advanced pairs and 4th in Grand Prix. He came in 6th in round one of Steeplechase, behind his older brother "CEDAR PINNACLE VIEW", Summit". Morganne Wagoner-Perry and SUMMIT came back on Sunday, winning first place in the Steeplechase final by almost a full second, beating out some amazing competition. We are very proud of our boys! The BEST DOG TREATS Recipe Puree the following ingredients in a food processor ( or blender) 1lb raw beef or calves liver 2 cloves garlic 1 egg 1/2 cup molasses 2 cups flour Puree everything together except the flour. Transfer to bowl from the blender and add the flour by hand Pour onto a 9x13 greased cookie sheet and spread. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Do not over bake. Cut into small cubes or strips. It freezes great and you will be able to grab a small handful before each training session. Sherry's TUNA FUDGE 2 cans Tuna- Use 1 oil 1 water NOT drained- Beat in 2 eggs 1 1/2 c whole wheat flour- add parsley, and enhance with any ingredients your dog may like (spinach, garlic, cheese) Grease square pan and bake @350 for twenty mins. Cut in cubes and freeze Salmon or chicken can be substituted. I LOVE the texture of these treats! |
